One of the inspiring ideas of a nature blog, for me, was the fact that it was such a broad topic and that almost everyone loves most aspects of the natural world. Now, not to be misunderstood, there are many cons to the pros, and isn’t that life? I have mentioned before – you have to take the good with the bad. So, in this blog, you will get both sets of my opinion, maybe not all at the same time but maybe one day I will be talking about the pros of having a pond and weeks later I will have the other side of the coin. Sharing many topics of discussion with you inspires me to keep it fresh and leave a little mystery to what you might see/read next.
My hope is to bring you out into nature if you can’t get there, to experience things or give you insight to try new things that you may have always wondered about. Why? Here is why…. nature is a place to bring us back to center, a gift given to us, without all of the plants/animals/etc. we don’t exist. Some field trips are meant to make us grateful and that is what I hope to provide, a grateful look into this outside Midwest world.
After reading some of this you may think that I am a conservationist, that I will eventually start to go on and on about taking care of the earth. While I may have certain subjects that I am passionate about I do not intend to preach. The few subjects I am overly passionate about when it comes to conservation are directly related to myself and my very small piece of this earth. I am no conservationist and have no education backing that – this is just a human being sharing their experiences for anyone to see.
Enough about me and starting this blog, let’s get this broad set of topics going! Please, feel free to let me know if there are any topics you would like to see discussed and I will try to make it happen.
